VALESOR first physical meeting, 2023

Two years of progress for VALESOR

Over the past year, the VALESOR project has reached several key milestones, with the first scientific results now published. The project’s findings have also been shared at international conferences such as EAERE and SBCA 2024, sparking engaging discussions.

Notable achievements include progress in synthesising chemicals and establishing exposure-response functions, which contribute to the development of tools to support policymakers and international organisations.

In 2025, the project will focus on experimental activities, including case studies and surveys. The year will conclude with a thematic workshop hosted by the University of Angers, the project’s coordinator, bringing together researchers and stakeholders to review progress and plan the next steps.

Upcoming synergies with european experts

Following the presentation of the first scientific results at the 2024 EAERE and SBCA international conferences, similar thematic workshops will be organized at both events in 2025 to further promote the latest research from VALESOR. These workshops will take place at the EAERE conference in Bergen and at another European city for the SBCA event.

Additionally, the VALESOR tool was presented to colleagues from the PARC project on January 8, 2025. Moving forward, fruitful collaborations are expected, including presentations to other EU-funded projects focusing on health and environmental economics. More details will be shared later in the year.

VALESOR takes the lead in the METEOR Cluster

Starting in July 2024, VALESOR will assume leadership of the METEOR cluster, guiding its activities through the end of 2025.

VALESOR´s leadership of the METEOR cluster aligns perfectly with the project’s focus on economic valuation, which will be a central theme in the scientific discussions planned for 2025.

In the autumn, the University of Angers, will host the 3rd Annual cluster meeting and thematic workshop. This event will be a key component of METEOR’s scientific strategy, bringing together experts to advance research and collaboration.
