Case Studies

Ten national case studies were selected from Eastern and Western Europe, representing the countries of Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

The case studies will address a variety of environmental and social issues of local and national importance, including an economic assessment of the health co-benefits of climate policies (UK), quantification of the current health burden of ambient air pollution, and the benefits of air quality interventions (Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Sweden), the health impact of chemical pollution (France, Spain), and investigation of methodological issues concerning health risk assessment (Denmark).
